Professor Dr. Muhammad Rehman, a pioneer in cardiac surgery, has performed over 20,000 open-heart surgeries in his illustrious career spanning over 50 years. Born in East Peshawar, Pakistan, he established RMI, a premier hospital, and Rehman Medical College, shaping the landscape of cardiac care in the region. Honored with the prestigious “Sitara-e-Imtiaz,” Dr. Rehman’s legacy of excellence continues to drive the Department of Cardiovascular and Cardiothoracic Surgery at RMI, ensuring patients receive top-notch care from our skilled team of surgeons.
