Cardiology Care Unit

Intensive Care Units (ICUs) are specialised hospital wards for those who are critically ill or in unstable conditions, they are offered intense care (treatment and monitoring).
There are four types of ICUs (medical, surgical, cardiac, and general), with 37 beds reserved for patients recovering from cardiac surgery, those who have had strokes, and those who require specialised care in neonatal and paediatric ICUs.

Cardiac Surgery Care Unit

The Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at RMI is a fully equipped, 16-bed facility that is supported by a team of experienced nurses, case managers, clinical pharmacists, house staff, cardiology fellows and attending physicians who oversee the care and management of all the patients.
The CCU staff cares for patients who suffers from myocardial infarction (heart attack), angina, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and cardiomyopathy.
All the necessary equipment for the treatment of any kind of cardiac emergency like defibrillators, ventilators and temporary pacemakers are available at the CCU.
